Negative Minds

In life, all of us have met or will meet someone who has always an opposite opinion from yours. I mean… If you say yes he/she will say no. If you agree he/she will disagree, and so on. Of course, you do not see or talk with such people everyday. But many times you can denote stubbornness on those people; they just want to be different from you and better than you. Many times those people are just “unbelievable” on invoking ridicules arguments to justify their opinions.

Now, imagine you are making a suggestion or asking something to someone and you got a reply like these ones:

Monday I do NOT like…
Tuesday I do NOT want…
Wednesday I do NOT go…
Thursday I did NOT knew…
Friday I did NOT noticed…
Saturday I did NOT paid attention…
Sunday I did NOT made…
February 30th
I did NOT saw...

Try to imagine to listen those sentences everyday, even at night in your dreams (That would be a curse). And try to imagine the same person saying those sentences (That would be what?! A hell?!). Some of you are just wondering “Why do you not buy a shotgun?” Humm… what a terrific idea.

Well, a lesson must be taken from this story. We must learn to say NO too, whatever it costs. Let's try to be different and enjoy the negativism of life.

Thinking Twice

My mother has taught me to cook, since my earlier years. She always used bouillons when cooking some food. And it’s great.

One day, I was cooking for friends, and one of them saw that I’ve putted a bouillon in the pan, her comment was hilarious:

- Only bad cookers use bouillons. I prefer natural food. – And she has not eaten anything at lunch.

She has tried to teach me to cook without it, but… to be honest… the food taste was not the same. She prefers to use spices rather to use bouillons, however not all spices can be eaten by everybody.

The funny story is that if someone does something in a different way than we do, this means that we are not good or not capable to do better than them. If we look for the big picture, this happens everywhere at all the time. Why people can not admit that there are several ways to do something and why people does not recognize that their ways are not always the best?!

Just think about it… how many times you point the finger to someone without thinking twice?!

The Guns of Navarone

Last Saturday I've watched a movie of 1961: The Guns of Navarone. The lesson to be learned it would be "if a group sticks together, then the group wins the battle". However 2 scenes were curious or fascinating.

1st scene: Cpl. Miller to Cap. Mallory, "I've never killed a woman, damn it. Why you do not pull the trigger? Make the difference and show all of us what you are."
Capt. Mallory points his gun to Anna and suddenly it is Maria who pulls the trigger killing Anna.

1st question: Who is guilty?! Is the guy who have told to pull the trigger or the other one who pulled it?!

2nd scene: Capt. Mallory says to Maj. Franklin who had a broken leg since 2 or 3 days ago, "Tonight at 10 p.m. our troops will come rescue us." He was intending that under torture Maj. Franklin would transmit to he German army such information, in a way to open a secure path until the entrance of the mountain where the guns of Navarone were located.

2nd question: Why the human being is so week in spirit when physically fragile/ill?!

The Guns of Navarone - Trailer

The two questions above are kind of rhetorical questions. All of us at least one time in our life thought about these subjects: guilty and fragility.

Comment from a friend: "There are too much scenes where nobody says anything." Huum I wonder what he would say if we were watching a pornographic movie.

Phobia

Psychology is always interesting. Unfortunately I have a little phobia, I know how it started but I wonder how I can put an end on it. I do not remember exactly the age, but it was between my 12-16 years old when something changed inside my mind.

In a certain evening, my mother was in the living room watching TV (reality shows). I was watching TV too, in her bedroom. I was watching another X-Files episode. I simply devoured the TV when watching such series. I was lie down into her bed, relaxed and attentive. I realized that something was wrong on my left side at the top of the wall just next to the ceiling. Something was moving; at least it was my impression. I didn’t look, I’ve continued focused on the TV and thought: “at the movie break, I’ll check it.

Great… the movie break… a big yawn… turn the head to the left and screamed:

- Mamaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. - She got scared and asked from the living room:
- What is it?!
- Mamaaaaaaaaaa, come here quickly to kill a big spider.
- Oh shut up and kill it yourself.
- But mamma, it’s SO BIG.
- Shut up.

Great… I went out of the bed slowly to not disturb Mr. Spider. I’ve turn on the light and went to the kitchen to pick up the broom. I’ve took a bath towel and rolled it around the broom at the bottom. Here I was, facing Mr. Spider with my weapon. [Gosh!! When I remember this story all my body trembles].

The spider was completely relaxed. Perhaps it was enjoying the X-Files too. A black body with all the long legs extended on the wall. From one extremity to another the spider would measure between 20 to 25 centimeters. I never saw such thing, neither have seen again, fortunately.

Carefully I’ve raised the broom until the ceiling and prepared to crash the broom against Mr. Spider. I’ve do it with all my forces. Mr. Spider fell down, behind a chair. Again, carefully, I’ve removed the chair but… there was any spider on the floor.

- Mamaaaaaaaaa.
- What?!
- The spider has run awaaaaaaaaayyy. - I’ve burst into tears.
- Shut up.

I’ve turned off the TV, turned off the light and went into my bedroom. Once there, I’ve closed the door. I’d hoped the spider doesn’t run away into my bedroom. I didn’t saw the end of the X-Files episode.

In the next morning day, I was cleaning the bedroom of my little sister when I saw Mr. Spider a few centimeters above the button light next to the door, where I’ve passed through it. Mr. Spider was shy in that day; it was close in itself like a round black ball. It had the size of my fist. I took a pillow and crash the pillow against it. Mr. Spider has died. Its body remained attached to the pillow; some legs remained attached to the dirty wall. It was degusting.

Before met Mr. Spider, I never had afraid of any bug. There were times, when I was reading a book and suddenly a micro spider comes down from my head and stopped in front of my nose. In that time, I laughed. It remembered me that I was there since a long time. It already happen the same situation, after I knew Mr. Spider. My reaction was completely different. I’ve gesticulated quickly in front of my face to remove the spider. Another time, an aunt told me:

- You have a little spider on your shirt. – My reaction was:
- REMOVE IT, REMOVE IT, REMOVE IT!

I try to be calm when I see a spider, but sometimes the instinct or phobia is stronger than me. It’s frustrating; I can not control myself on some situations.

Sunday night I went to the bathroom and saw a little spider walking inside the bath. The spider could not leave the bath because the bath walls are too smooth and slippery. I’ve stopped in front of it and thought: “Do I kill it or not?” I’ve just opened the water and the spider disappeared through the water pipe.

Monday morning I went into the bathroom to take a shower, but before that, I've took a careful look around and talked to myself:

- Come on, don’t be stupid. The spider has gone. – said my conscience.
- Yes, I know, I’m just checking. – I’ve said.

Intelligence Quocient - IQ

I have received a link into my e-mail and just by couriosity I have cliked it. http://web.tickle.com/tests/uiq/index_main.jsp

And here it is the result:

IQ: 120-144

The intelligence quotient (IQ) measures the ratio of a person's intellectual age to his/her chronological age. Most people's IQs are between 70 and 130. In fact, 95% of all people have IQs within that range.

People who are considered to have average intelligence normally have an IQ around 100. Your IQ is between 120-144. This means that your intelligence is extremely higher than average.

Your IQ score is 136

This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.

Your Intellectual Type is Visionary Philosopher. This means you are highly intelligent and have a powerful mix of skills and insight that can be applied in a variety of different ways. Like Plato, your exceptional math and verbal skills make you very adept at explaining things to others — and at anticipating and predicting patterns. And that's just some of what we know about you from your IQ results.

To be the best

Sometimes people ask themselves if they are good enought on their jobs, lives, families, etc, and they never get an answer from anybody.

One thing I garantee you, if nobody has told you that you are the best without you have asked anything, that's because you really need to improve yourself.
If you have received such compliment, you can be happy. You really are the best.

But...

before someone tells you that you are the best, you need to take a look at the mirror and observe your eyes and read your soul. If you do not have any doubts say it loud "I am the best!".

Basically, It's not enought to be the best, you need to feel it. Then, people will reconize you as the master of the masters.
